The village of Murs and its surroundings

Our guest house is located in the heart of the village of Murs. You will appreciate the calming Mediterranean climate of this small village, located far from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist sites of Provence. Murs is worth the detour with its curiosities and monuments. We invite you to discover multi-centenary white oaks, the Saint-Loup church, wells, oratories and many others.

From the village of Murs, you will be ideally positioned to explore the region and to do numerous activities such as golf (Provence Country Club de Saumane, Pitch 130 de Villars, Châteaublanc of Morières, Grand Avignon and Pont-Royal), hot air balloon flights, hiking on foot or by bike, paragliding, ULM or climbing at Pont Julien Bosque, Buoux, Oppède-le-Vieux or Rocher des Abeilles. 

The village of Gordes

Just a few minutes from our guest house with heated swimming pool, you will be in the heart of the village of Gordes. Stroll through this village and discover all its treasures. We advise you to take a trip to the Notre-Dame de Sénanque Abbey which will surprise you with its lavender fields, but also by the village of Bories, classified as a Historic Monument since 1977, which will charm you with its excellent conservation. Don't miss the old town of Gordes, perched on its rocky outcrop, the cellars of the Palais de Saint-Firmin, as well as the Museum of Glass and Stained Glass.  

Provencal markets

Provence is renowned for its colorful and fragrant markets. Stroll between the stalls of the merchants and leave with a souvenir of the region. Visit some of the most unmissable markets around:

The Luberon villages

The Luberon Regional Natural Park is known for its villages rich in history, charm and monuments to discover. We advise you to take a trip to Bonnieux with its Pont-Julien, a vestige of the Roman Empire. Don't miss Lacoste, a village dominated by the ruins of the Château du Marquis de Sade. The village of Oppède-le-Vieux awaits you with its charm and picturesqueness. Finally, discover Bruoux with the galleries of its old ocher mine, the Ocre trail in Roussillon and the Colorado Provençal in Rustrel. Without forgetting, Sault and its lavender and the Gorges de Toulourenc.

Avignon

The City of the Popes is less than an hour's drive from our family guest house near Gordes. The city of Avignon is renowned throughout the world for its famous festival which brings together visitors and actors every year. Walk around the city to discover all its beauties such as the Palais des Papes, the Rocher des Doms, the Pont d'Avignon and many others.

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Thirty minutes’ drive separates you from Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the town of antique dealers. The city has become a must for antique dealers and flea dealers. All year round, come and hunt for your vintage nugget among second-hand dealers and art and history enthusiasts. You will also enjoy sitting on the banks of the river or strolling through the pretty cobbled streets. 

For cyclists

Provence and the Luberon are known for being home to many marked trails for hikers and cyclists. A cycle route passes near the Hameau Fleur de Pierres, a charming guest house on the outskirts of Gordes. We work in partnership with a bike rental company, who can come and deliver your bikes directly to Hameau Fleur de Pierres, upon reservation. Get more information at reception.
